Admission criteria to the Nursing programme of Mathura Nath Memorial Nursing Institution are listed below. Applicants must check these thoroughly to see if they satisfy the requirements.
General Nursing And Midwifery
Minimum Eligibility Criteria:
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years and no maximum age limit.
- Candidate from any stream of subject can apply.
- An aggregate of 40% marksin the qualifying higher secondary examination from west Bengal council of higher secondary education or from any recognized council/ Board.
- The candidate should be an Indian National and a permanent resident of west Bengal state.
- Candidate should appear WEBJEE Exam and get eligibility for GNM Nursing.
B.Sc. Nursing
- The minimum age of the candidate should be 17 years and no maximum age limit.
- An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying higher secondary examination from west Bengal council of higher secondary education or from any recognized council/ Board.
- The candidate should be an Indian National and a permanent resident of west Bengal state.
- Candidate should appear WBJEE Exam and get eligibility for Graduate Nursing course.
- Married candidates are also allowed to pursue the course.
A. SWAMI VIVEKANANDA MERIT SCHOLARSHIP
The cost of nursing education can be a significant barrier for many students. Recognizing the importance of fostering talent in this field, government offer scholarships specifically designed to support students in their pursuit of nursing education.
West Bengal Higher Education Department provides Swami Vivekananda Scholarships to the meritorious students.
CRITERIA
- Student who scored at least 60% and above on the last board examination.
- Students who are enrolled in the first year of the (GNM) & B.Sc. Nursing
- The student’s Gross Annual Family Income does not exceed Rs. 2,50,000.
B. MONIDIPA SCHOLARSHIP
To enable the female students who have an intense desire to take up nursing as a profession and had to go to places far away from their native places to achieve their dreams, the Mathura Nath Memorial Nursing Institution has embarked to offer MONIDIPA SCHOLARSHIP to the deserving candidates from the Mathura Nath Memorial trust every year.
CRITERIA
- Student who scored at least 95% and above on the last board examination and 90% in case of SC/ST.
- Students who are enrolled in the first year of the (GNM) & B.Sc. Nursing.
- Student should be domicile of Alipurduar.
- The student’s Gross Annual Family Income does not exceed Rs. 1,50,000.

Government of West Bengal has introduced the Student Credit Card Scheme for the students of West Bengal to enable them to pursue education without having any financial constraints. The Mathura Nath Memorial Nursing Institution assist students in availing student credit card.
CRITERIA
- A Student from West Bengal can obtain a maximum loan of Rs.10 lakhs @ 4% per annum simple interest from the State Cooperative Bank and its affiliated Central Cooperative Banks and District Central Cooperative Banks and Public/ Private Sector Banks.
- 1% interest concession will be provided to borrower if the interest is fully serviced during the study period.
- The upper age limit for the interested students has been kept as 40(forty) years at the time of applying for loan.
- The repayment period shall be fifteen (15) years for any loan availed under this Credit Card including the Moratorium/ repayment holiday.
The Placement Cell of the Institution provides guidance and assistance to the students for achieving their career goals. The Cell develop over all personality of the students aimed at meeting the standard of recruitment policies adopted by the National and international recruiting agencies.
